Marcy Foldable Exercise Bike Review

This bike is great for your little apartment. It folded away neatly into a closet when I was done with my workout and while it didn't have the greatest resistance, it had a moderate amount. I tend to do about 60 minutes of cardio while watching TV and put the resistance anywhere from 6-8 on this. It worked great.

The footprint of the bike is not that much smaller when folded up, but it is a nice feature to have. There is just a pin that you pull out to fold the back part of the cycle to the front part. You then insert the pin back in to hold it in the foldable position. Very nicely designed. Even with the bike not folded, the design of it makes it easy for me to carry to a different room to exercise in.

I mostly use this in my home office when I need to take a break from sitting at the computer all day long. It provides some much needed exercise and tension release. I am very very pleased with the Marcy Foldable Exercise bike.

It was easy to put together, is well made and I feel very secure on it. As other reviewers have stated, it is incredibly quiet and the pedal motion is as smooth as can be. I like that there are eight levels of resistance. The best feature for me, is the position that my legs are in when pedaling.

They are more forward than a traditional bicycle - more like a recumbent cycle. Because of this, I do not experience any knee discomfort as I do on a regular bicycle. The smoothness of the cycling creates a very rhythmic motion that I find to be a great tension reliever. The handlebar is well padded and very comfortable to hold on to.

Final Words

I have only had this bike for a couple of months, but thus far, I love it! I have been riding it regularly and the computer seems fine, the seat is comfortable and the resistance is acceptable for my needs. When I first start peddling, the resistance feels a little uneven from top of the cycle to bottom, but once you gain a little momentum/rhythm, it seems to balance out just fine, so unless you plan on peddling very very slowly, this should not be an issue. Assembly required was simple and took all of 15 minutes. I live in a studio, it is very compact and easy to move around. I feel very happy with this purchase. Click here to buy from Amazon.
